Baños de Agua Santa
Baños de Agua Santa is located in the Tungurahua province, 180 km from the city of Quito. Surrounded by beautiful rivers including the spectacular Rio Pastaza serving as a backdrop for adventure sports. Its climate is hot and humid at a height of 1800 m on the slopes of Tungurahua volcano. Baños have beautiful landscapes which thousands of visitors come to admire for spiritual and physical peace.

La Virgin Waterfall
There is a beautiful waterfall next to La Virgin hot springs – make sure you spend time there, especially for the spectacular photo opportunities.
Manto de La Novia Waterfall another ́must see ́ place to visit and is called El Manto de la Novia. You can hire a local tour guide for this kind of trip. Prices are low and the adventure is worth it! A one day tour will ensure you get to see everything.
Church of the Virgin of the Holy Water
Plan to visit the church museum and local art galleries. Some local artists have won international awards for their Andean artwork.
The Tree House
Hike the trail from Baños going up to Casa del Arbol, “The Treehouse”, a seismic monitoring station used to observe Mt. Tungurahua, an active volcano.But the main tourist attraction isn’t the quaint tree house, nor even the breathtaking view of the volcano from the edge of a canyon—it’s a swing hanging on the tree at the edge of a cliff.It’s a simple swing—a piece of wood tied on opposite ends with rope attached to the tree.

This workshop makes string instruments with very old wood that surpass the 70 years. My father learned this beautiful legacy of my grandfather is the third generation of Lutherans and carpenters in Baños de Agua Santa , I hope to be the fourth generation so that this art is not lost .
